First day london-lazio itinerary

Transfer to london airport stn and arrival at lazio. After meeting our tour manager we drive to cerveteri, etruscan city. Along the old street (via sepolcrale) there are the most interesting tombs: tomba dei capitelli, tomba dei vasi greci, tomba dei letti funebri, tomba dellalcova. But the tomb most rich and precious is tomba dei rilievi or tomba bella, with decorations in relief. Here we can visit the necropolis.l’unch free.in the afternoon we go on the beach. after departure from cerveteri and arrival to tarquinia, dinner at the hotel.

Second day tarquinia

Breakfast at the hotel. All day visit the etruscan necropolis, an archaeological area. Here there are the remains of a temple where we find the famous cavalli alati”, now in the tarquinias museum. Dinner at the hotel.

Third day tarquinia

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit the medieval city. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon we visit the archaeological museum, where we find sarcophaguses, jewels, little statues, potteries and ashen urns. Dinner at the hotel.

Fourth day tarquinia-tuscania-tarquinia

Breakfast at the hotel. Its away to tuscania today. Here there is a necropolis where there is tomba della regina, the most interesting for its size and for its labyrinth. After return to the hotel in tarquinia.

Fifth day tarquinia-viterbo

Breakfast at the hotel, and departure for viterbo. Medieval city. After accommodation in viterbos hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

Sixth day viterbo

breakfast at the hotel, visit the papis baths.

Seventh day viterbo-roma

Roma, the eternal city”, where both ancient and modern blend in this cosmopolitan and vibrant capital. One of romes most famous sights is the colosseum, a masterpiece of classical architecture. Other fascinating sight includes the forum, once religious, political and commercial centre of ancient rome. The pantheon, a spectacular temple converted to a christian church. St. Peter’s basilica, the largest church in the world located in the vatican city, with its collection of artistic treasures. The vatican museums, in particular the famous sistine chapel with its world famous ceilings painted by michel’angelo. The trevi fountain where tourists traditionally throw 2 coins over their shoulder into the fountain- one coin to guarantee their return to rome and the other to make a wish. Some one of the best shops are to be found on piazza di spagna around the spanish steps. Here you will find all the top jewellers and fashion boutiques. Alternatively via nazionale and via del corso offer a wider range of shops with lover prices. The colourful food market which appears every morning at piazza campo de fiori is also worth a visit. The best areas to eat are trastevere, the old quarter, and piazza navona, the artists quarter, for a wide variety of restaurants, trattorias, and pizzerias; and via veneto for a range of international restaurants.
